Admission
Process | Open House Dates | Mrs. Maureen Schmidt, Director of Admission, encourages parents to visit The Wyndcroft School. Open House Dates are held throughout the year so that parents can visit the school. All prospective students will visit and participate in classroom activities for all or a portion of the school day. Early Childhood, Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Applicants: Parent interview and tour, formal application, student visit and evaluation, review of school transcripts and teacher recommendation, where applicable. Grades 1-8 Applicants: Parent interview and tour, formal application, student visit, admission testing (WISC IV), school transcript and teacher recommendation .
Financial Aid: Financial aid is available for students admitted into grades 1-8.The Trustees have established a procedure for the application of financial assistance. Information regarding the procedure is available from the Head of School. Transportation: Area public schools are required by law to provide transportation to private schools within a ten-mile radius of their district boundaries (pre-school children are not eligible). Bus transportation is available for a fee for residents in Reading and some other portions of the Berks County area.
From Reading: Follow Route 422 East to the Armand Hammer Blvd exit. Follow Armand Hammer Blvd to the intersection at High Street (Pottstown Memorial Medical Center on corner). Go across High Street and proceed on Wilson Street up the hill, bearing left and continue two blocks to Rosedale Drive. The school is on the corner of Wilson Street and Rosedale Drive. From King of Prussia: Follow Route 422 West to the Armand Hammer Blvd exit. Follow Armand Hammer Blvd to the intersection at High Street (Pottstown Memorial Medical Center on corner).
