Welcome from Mrs. Gail L. Wolter
Welcome to the website of the Wyndcroft School. If you are a parent or student of Wyndcroft, you will find this website incredibly useful as you go through the academic year. If you are new to Wyndcroft, and trying to learn something about us, we think you will find all the answers to your questions in these web pages.
We are delighted to be able to share, through this website, all the very special things we enjoy at Wyndcroft; the outstanding academic program, our arts, athletics and social and service activities. Here you will find detailed information not only about our academic curriculum but also about our busy schedule of artistic and athletic activities, and our pursuit of service as we live out our motto of Non Sibi. (Not for one's self---)
A small school of 250 students, in grades Early Childhood (three year olds) through 8th, Wyndcroft was founded in 1918 by faculty of the nearby Hill School to provide an excellent education in a nurturing setting for younger children. Through the nine decades that have passed since then, Wyndcroft has changed in many ways, but its core mission remains the same. Our mission, to provide excellent academics in a nurturing setting, informs all we do, in the classroom and out of it. But it is our size that makes us special. Here at Wyndcroft, every student is known as an individual, by the entire faculty, by me, by the administrative staff, and by Miss Nancy and Miss Lori in the kitchen. In so many ways, Wyndcroft feels like an extension of family to us all.
I hope you enjoy the website, the great pictures of our students that show the joy they have in their learning, and the interesting facts about the program as well as all our latest news. I hope you will click on the site often, and we welcome your feedback on your website experience.
Wishing you a great school year for 2012-2013,
Mrs. Gail L. Wolter
