Admission Checklist
This checklist is a guide to help you through the admission process. The following steps must be completed before the Admission Committee can make a final decision regarding your child’s application. Please contact the Admission Office if you have any questions or wish to know the status of your child’s application. You can contact us by email or our phone number is (610) 326-0544. We are here to help you.
- Parent Visit. We ask parents to spend time with the admission staff at the school. This will enable us to get to know each other better.
- Application Form. Submit application and non-refundable fee of $50.00. This must be completed before your child’s visit.
- Student Visit. The School requires a half-day visit for Pre-K. and a full-day visit for grades K to 8. Early Childhood visits will take place during the month of February; these will last for approximately one hour. All visits are for students who have formally applied. During the day, the applicant can become more familiar with the school setting. A short reading, writing and math evaluation will be administered. Lunch will be provided for your child. Please call the Admission Office to reserve a date for your child’s visit.
Applications must be submitted before a student visit. Please arrive in the Admission Office at 8:15 AM. - Testing. The required testing procedures will be explained during the parent visit. A Wechsler Intelligence Test (WISC-IV) is required for entering grades 1 to 8. We can supply you with the names of certified psychologists and request that you schedule testing and arrange for the results to be sent directly to The Wyndcroft School. A readiness evaluation will be done here at school for EC, Pre-K, and K candidates at the cost of $60.00 for EC and $100.00 for Pre-K and K, payable at the time of testing.
- Request for Student Records. At the time of the parent visit, you will receive a Request for Student Records form. This form enables the current school to release report cards and transcripts to us. Please fill out and sign the form and give it to your child’s current school. These records will be sent directly to us and kept confidential.
- Teacher Recommendations. During the parent visit you will receive a Teacher Recommendation form. This form is to be turned into your child’s current school. The recommendation will then be sent directly back to us in the provided envelope and all information will be kept confidential.
On acceptance you will be asked to complete an Enrollment Agreement, and provide the following:
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Proof of citizenship and/or visa (if foreign born)
- Custodial agreement (if parents are divorced)
