Graduation

Graduation is a very special event at Wyndcroft.  The festivities begin with Honors Day the day before graduation, when eighth graders and their parents join the faculty and administration for a very special last Wyndcroft lunch.  At the Honors Day ceremony following lunch, academic awards are presented to the Upper School and the graduating class.

Graduation proper takes place at Wyndcroft at 10:00 AM.  All Upper School students join family, friends and alumni for this happy event.  Seventh grade students make an honor guard for the graduates as they ascend to the stage.  The graduation class listens to an address given by The Board President, and then every single graduate speaks from the podium about their Wyndcroft experience and their hopes for the future.  Two particular students are honored with the award of The Wyndcroft Cup, and the Award for the Highest Scholastic Rank.  The graduates receive their Certificates of Graduation, the Wyndcroft Singers sing “Keep the Flame Alive” and another class of alumni is sent off to make their mark in the world.
