Student Council

The Wyndcroft School Student Council is composed of one male and one female student representative from grades sixth, seventh, and eighth.   Representatives are elected each May for the next school year through a school vote by their peers.  Each student is required to give a brief speech during chapel explaining to the entire student body and staff why they would be a good choice to represent the school.

Student Council representatives need to be a role model to other students at Wyndcroft both socially and academically and find ways to be a positive presence within their community.

Responsibilities of a Student Council Representative

  1. They are required to attend up to 3 open houses on Sundays as a representative of the Wyndcroft School.
  2. They attend the bridge program in August to meet new students in the upper school and make them feel welcome while enjoying lunch and participating in extracurricular activities.
  3. They meet once a week during lunch to discuss ideas and plan activities.
  4. They may be required to attend monthly Friday after school meetings.
  5. In addition to one Friday meeting a month, they need to stay after school to help with set-up for dances, movie nights, and any other student council planned activity.  These are typically Fridays as well.
  6. They meet one day in the summer in late August to plan for the upcoming years acitivities.  At this meeting they propose ideas, prepare a chapel, set dates for major events, etc.
