Quick Questions: Mr. Turock, Upper Language Arts Teacher

Mr. Turock taught Latin at Wyndcroft from 2013 to 2022. Now, he teaches 5-6 English Language Arts. He has a Classics degree from Temple University.

What inspired you to become a teacher?

I had a few life changing teachers in high school and college.

What is a book that you do not use in your curriculum that you would recommend all of your students read? Why that book? What makes it special?

Michael Pollan's Food Rules. It is the best and most approachable advice on eating well. It should be required reading for all people.

Where is somewhere in the world you would love to travel to and why?

I would like to see the National Parks in the West because I like wildlife and wild places.
