Quick Questions: Mrs. Musser, Kindergarten Teacher
What inspired you to become a teacher?
I come from a very long line of teachers and just knew from the time that I was in Kindergarten I wanted to be a teacher too. I love watching students soaking in new material and the look of joy that comes when they understand a new concept.
What is a book that you do not use in your curriculum that you would recommend all of your students read? Why that book? What makes it special?
Mio, My Son by Astrid Lindgren This was my favorite book as a child. It is a book that is full of adventure and excitement. Well, that's how the younger me remembers it! It is a book that is for older kids, but for younger students I loved when my mom or dad would read me Mrs. Piggle Wiggle stories. They had great morals to each part of the book.
Where is somewhere in the world you would love to travel to and why?
1. Australia. My best friend from Elementary School moved there and I would love to visit her and see all of the amazing sites of the country.
2. Prince Edward Isand in Canada. I loved Anne of Green Gables growing up and it is set on PEI. It is very picturesque and quaint.
