Quick Questions: Mrs. Spatz, Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
What makes being a teacher at Wyndcroft so special?
I love teaching at Wyndcroft because of all the wonderful students, parents, and faculty. It's like one big family here. As a pre-k teacher I meet these children in their first years at Wyndcroft and have the opportunity to watch them grow and blossom into teenagers. One of my favorite memories is watching a girl that when I taught her in Early Childhood and Pre-K hid behind her classmates when we performed on stage have a solo as a 7th grader in the Seasons of Celebration.
What inspired you to become a teacher?
My mother was a middle school social studies and gifted teacher and I watched her prepare and inspire her students with creative lessons and I wanted to be just like her.
What is a book that you do not use in your curriculum that you would recommend all of your students read? Why that book? What makes it special?
Love You Forever by Robert Munsch - This story reminds children that their parents' love is always there even in trying times.
Where is somewhere in the world you would love to travel to and why?
Our country has so many beautiful and historic places that I would love to travel across the country visiting all of these.
