On Wednesday, October 16, Ms. Fauth’s EC class and Mrs. Musser’s Pre-K class embarked on an exciting fall adventure to Colonial Gardens in Phoenixville, PA. The day was filled with hands-on learning and plenty of exploration as students discovered the wonders of pumpkins and life on the farm.
The main highlight of the trip was learning about the life cycle of pumpkins. The children were able to see firsthand how pumpkins grow, from tiny seeds to the bright orange gourds we all recognize in the fall. As they wandered through the pumpkin patch, students eagerly pointed out pumpkins in all shapes and sizes, gaining a new appreciation for the growing process.
But the fun didn’t stop there! The students had the chance to navigate through mazes scattered across the farm. Laughter filled the air as they worked together to find their way through the twists and turns, celebrating each successful path with smiles and excitement.
The farm itself was a big hit with the children. They explored the different areas, enjoying the wide-open space and taking in all the sights and sounds. Colonial Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for the children to not only learn about nature but also experience the beauty of fall.
