On Wednesday, October 16, Mrs. LaGuardia’s first-grade class took an exciting step back in time with a visit to Pottsgrove Manor in Pottstown, PA. The trip gave students a hands-on glimpse into what life was like for children in the 1800s while also learning about the rich history of Pottstown.

During the visit, the students toured the historic manor, discovering how families lived over two centuries ago. They learned about daily chores, the clothing they wore, and the various household tasks back then. This immersive experience helped bring history to life, sparking curiosity and appreciation for the past.

It was a memorable day filled with learning and fun, and the first-graders returned with new knowledge about their town’s history and a unique understanding of life in the 1800s!
