If you love all things THEATER, here are a few great local attractions to check out this summer.

 

Steel River Playhouse

Events:     Check the website for summer time performances, summer camp sessions, and middle school/teen summer workshops.

Why:     Opportunity to see and become part of a theatrical performance. The theatre provides an opportunity for children and adults to gain hands on theatre experience. At Steel River you can participate onstage, backstage, or even volunteer as a front of house member.

Related Curriculum:     Stage preparedness, vocalization, memorization, improvisation, introductory & advanced courses in stage performance and musical theater, audition practice, participation in musical theatre

 

Premiere Dance Studio 

Events:     Recitals, classes, and workshops.

Why:     If you have tried musical theater and singing just is not for you, why not give dance a try? It is a great way to stay in shape and embrace the performing arts. The studio offers a variety of dance classes that focus on different styles and techniques.

Related Curriculum:     Kinesthetic awareness, introductory & advanced dance courses, and cardio exercise

 

Center Stage Music Studios

Events:     Recitals, classes, workshops, and private lessons.

Why:     Some people loved performing in musicals, but others are more interested in other avenues of performance. Center Stage showcases musicians and vocal performers through elaborate and high quality productions.
