Wyndcroft Student Solves “Hardest Math Problem”
Wyndcroft 8th Grader, Jonathan Jean, has solved Challenge 1 of The Hardest Math Problem Contest and advanced to Challenge 2 of the competition.
The Hardest Math Problem Contest is a national event for students in grades 5-8 sponsored by Scholastic. Through a difficult word problem, students were asked to use data to identify where operations could be improved at the world’s latest celebrity chef’s restaurant. Students who correctly answered Challenge 1 received an invitation to participate in Challenge 2.
In Challenge 2, Jonathan will have to help a celebrity chef and her publisher plan their upcoming book launch. Good luck Jonathan! We are all cheering you on!
