⚙️ Wyndcroft Unplugged 2024

Wyndcroft students have a day each year to unplug from their traditional classroom instruction and spend time participating in design thinking and enrichment activities. Design thinking draws upon logic, imagination, intuition, and systemic reasoning, to explore possibilities of what could be, and to create desired outcomes. A design mindset is not problem-focused; it's solution-focused and action-oriented. It involves both analysis and imagination and incorporates skills in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

On Friday, March 1, our students in grades 5 through 8 Unplugged from their traditional routines and participated in a Design Engineering Challenge. They formed teams, created companies, designed logos, and invented toys and games for our Lower School students to play.

In the afternoon, Wyndcroft hosted a Toy and Game Convention, where elementary students voted on their favorites. The top three companies then pitched their ideas to the entire school, and a finalist was selected.
