Leadership
Head of School
Welcome to The Wyndcroft School. The website provides a glimpse of what I refer to as “the Wyndcroft magic”, which occurs daily. Dedicated faculty engage students who love learning and families that value education in a supportive community. Each child is well-cared for and well loved, and the images and testimonials you find here will confirm that.

You will also find that at Wyndcroft:
- Virtually 100 percent of our graduates are accepted to the high school of their choice
- Typically, 75-80 percent of our graduates qualify for honors or advanced classes in their first year of high school
- We have a “no cut” policy in Middle School extracurricular activities
- Our ERB (standardized test) results routinely meet or exceed those of other private schools nationwide
- We provide outstanding programs in art, music, and French from Early Childhood-8th grade
- Inspired by our motto of “Non Sibi”, from the Latin for “Not for oneself, but for the good of others”, we cultivate a sense of gratitude and responsibility toward the larger world through an extensive community service program
We emphasize safety and security measures to ensure the well-being of each child in our care. We communicate regularly – both formally and informally – throughout the year in educational partnership with parents.
The Wyndcroft School has a well-deserved reputation for excellence. For nearly 100 years, we have been a welcoming community for parents and children. I encourage you to learn more about our school – stop by to visit us at any time.
Warmly,
Gail L. Wolter P’08

Board of Trustees
The Wyndcroft School is governed by an independent Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees consists of a group of dedicated men and women who offer strategic expertise, resources, and a variety of perspectives that enable the School to achieve its mission and strategic objectives. Consistent with NAIS Standards of Good Practice in Governance, the Board of Trustees is not involved in the daily operation of the School. Rather, the Board is responsible for ensuring that the School’s mission remains relevant to the community it serves as well as for monitoring the success of the school in fulfilling its mission. The Board of Trustees accomplishes this by planning strategically, maintaining good fiduciary oversight, and focusing its efforts on projects that will benefit the School into the future. The Head of School serves as a non-voting member of the Board of Trustees.
Each February, the Board of Trustees hosts an open board meeting during which the full school membership is invited to come together and hear from the Board President, the Head of School and the chairs of each committee regarding the state of the School.
