On Monday, October 15, 2018, Wyndcroft's students went "back in time" to celebrate the school's centennial. Members of the school Parent Teacher Organization turned the gymnasium wing of the school into a Time Machine, allowing students to explore a some of the earlier decades in Wyndcroft's 100 year history.
- While exploring the 1920's and 19030's, students tried their hand at some screen-free toys and games including pogo sticks, marbles, pick up sticks and jacks.
- The 1940's and 1950's time hop included dance lessons and a taste of a root beer float in a themed diner.
- It got groovy in the 1960's and 1970's where students made their own lava lamps and tie-dyed sugar sticks.
- The popular video games of the 1980's and 1990's set the backdrop for fun in the gym as the students played life sized versions of Pac-Man, Tetris and Mario Brothers.
In addition, the whole school came together to sing "Happy Birthday" to Wyndcroft and everyone was treated to a cupcake.
Here's a look at the celebration.
The students had fun in a photo booth in the 20's and 30's room. Take a look!
