Centennial Time Machine Celebration
Centennial Time Machine Celebration

On Monday, October 15, 2018, Wyndcroft's students went "back in time" to celebrate the school's centennial. Members of the school Parent Teacher Organization turned the gymnasium wing of the school into a Time Machine, allowing students to explore a some of the earlier decades in Wyndcroft's 100 year history.

  • While exploring the 1920's and 19030's, students tried their hand at some screen-free toys and games including pogo sticks, marbles, pick up sticks and jacks.
  • The 1940's and 1950's time hop included dance lessons and a taste of a root beer float in a themed diner.
  • It got groovy in the 1960's and 1970's where students made their own lava lamps and tie-dyed sugar sticks.
  • The popular video games of the 1980's and 1990's set the backdrop for fun in the gym as the students played life sized versions of Pac-Man, Tetris and Mario Brothers.

In addition, the whole school came together to sing "Happy Birthday" to Wyndcroft and everyone was treated to a cupcake.

Here's a look at the celebration.

The students had fun in a photo booth in the 20's and 30's room. Take a look!
