Wyndcroft first graders become independent readers, creative writers, critical thinkers, and problem solvers. The student's individual needs are met through differentiated instruction in all subject areas. The children work collaboratively in small and large groups throughout the day. Technology supports and enhances all the subject areas. Students are also given the encouragement and opportunity to speak in front of small and large audiences during the school year. First graders attend specials twice during a school cycle: Art, Computer, French, Music, Physical Education, Science, Library, and Health class. The first grade teachers educate the whole child by nurturing students' intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical development so that they may attain their highest potential. Our first graders thrive given the warm and nurturing environment in which they learn and grow.
