On Stage
Performance is an essential part of the Wyndcroft experience.
Through music, art, and drama, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills by performing in various concerts, dramatic performances, and art shows. Through performance, students recognize the importance of “publishing” their work, develop confidence, and hone their public speaking skills. The drama program underscores other essential goals – team building, problem-solving, and performance skills.
Grade-Level Performances
The tradition of class productions begins with a delightful musical Thanksgiving presentation given by our Pre-Kindergarten class (4 year olds) every year. From there each grade, Kindergarten through 4th, presents an age-appropriate class production. Performing in front of the whole school as well as their parents, the students become accustomed to being on stage and in front of larger audiences by the time they are ready to transition to Upper School.
The Wyndcroft Players Spring Musical
Fifth through eighth graders have an opportunity to be involved in a large scale musical production each spring. The Wyndcroft Players' performances involve huge casts and a good many others working behind the scenes.
Season of Celebration
Holiday songs fill the air during the Wyndcroft School's annual Season of Celebration concert. The Wyndcroft Chorus and Select Chorus, the Third Grade Singers and the Wynd and Strings Ensemble add their polished touch to a wonderful event before the holidays.
Spring Concert
The Spring Concert is a performance opportunity that occurs in May of each year. The Spring Concert features the Chorus, Select Chorus, Wynd and String Ensemble, and Junior String Ensemble. The concert highlights the growing musicianship of the Wyndcroft community. The featured music spans all musical time periods and is an exciting way to conclude our year of music making.
